21ST ANNUAL RUN / WALK AGAINST HUNGER
DOWNTOWN STOCKTONTHURSDAY, NOVEMBER 27TH STARTING AT 6:30 AM SET-UP Amateur Radio Operators from SDARC have been the eyes and ears on the course for this Event since it started. You keep things safe by reporting what you see.
Now is the time to sign up for this event – leave the turkey in the oven and come on and join us – keep the event safe by reporting what you see.
We will start setting up along the course and at the Banner Island Ball Park about 6:30 AM. Stockton PD could close the streets as early as 7:00 AM – You want to be at your assignment before you have to walk. ALL Radio Operators must wear a yellow or orange safety vest. If you do not have a vest, please let us know and we will have one for you at the Start / Finish Line at the Banner Island Ballpark.
Rest Stops / Water Stops / Course Turns:Portable radio (HT)Spare Batteries for HTBring a Chair – Some areas you may be able to sit in your car, but don’t count on that.Stockton PD starts closing the streets as early as 7:00 AM – Make sure you have checked in at NCS at Banner Island Ballpark before you go to your post.
Net Control (NCS):Net control will be at the Banner Island BallparkNeed a minimum of 2 operators at NCSSet Up starting at 6:00 AM – be on the air by 7:00AM for check-ins and walk-ups
