HELD THE LAST SATURDAY IN FEBRUARY ANNUALLY
SPONSORED AND WHOLLY SUPPORTED BY STOCKTON-DELTA AMATEUR RADIO CLUB IN SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED.

The Stockton-Delta Amateur Radio Club is proud to have been a part of the Pedaling Paths to Independence Bike Ride since its inception. The annual event, usually the 4th Saturday in February, benefits the Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.  Between 350 – 500 or more, brave the clear crisp February mornings among the orchards in Eastern San Joaquin and Western Calaveras counties to enjoy this ride.

There is a metric century route and as 25-mile route.  SDARC has provided communication support, a published “dispatch” number riders can call to request ham operator equipped SAG wagons with GPS tracking through APRS.  We get riders connected with a SAG driver on the scene within 5 minutes for most cases.
